Mackenzie Woodring
Mackenzie Woodring served as the pilot for rider Karissa Whitsell in the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing, China. The team immediately made a name for itself on the international scene, winning three total medals, including one gold.
Mackenzie formerly raced as a professional cyclist and a member of Colavita-Sutter Home presented by Cooking Light Professional Women's Cycling Team. She was a three-sport athlete at Holton High School in Holton, Mich., where she played cross country, softball and volleyball. She graduated in 1997 with All-State honors in cross country in both 1996 and 1997. At Ferris State University, Woodring competed in cross country and track and field. In 2001, she was named All-Conference in cross country. She graduated in 2001 with a degree in product design engineering technology.
