This 6 week Triathlon Youth Training Program is a great opportunity for athletes aged between 12 and 18 to train for and compete in their very first triathlon. The program will guide participants through open water swimming, road riding, running and ultimately racing. We will build on existing knowledge in these areas as well as develop any skills that are not yet present in order for the participant to successfully complete the Shermanator Triathlon at the Sherman Lake YMCA on August 5th. With over 20 years combined experience in Triathlon, our coaches will ensure that Triathlon becomes a sport for them to enjoy.
- Participants will compete in the new “Super Sprint” distances which are: 500 Yard Swim, 10 Mile Bike Ride & 5 Kilometer Run.
- Athletes will be coached by USAT Certified Coaches and must be able to swim competently 25 yards.
- Participants may complete the race as part of a team relay
