Kaitlyn originally found yoga her freshmen year of college after being diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy. After years of only occasionally going to classes, she began to dive deeper into her practice in 2015/2016. Yoga became both the haven and the teacher that helped guide her through some of life’s messes. She took her first 200-hour yoga teacher training and became a Yoga Alliance registered teacher in August of 2020. Her classes lean towards being a power vinyasa style.
In 2018, she took her first Barre class and immediately fell in love. She became certified with the Barre Guild Academy and Barre Above in 2019 and started teaching immediately. Her classes lean towards the original Lotte Berk method.
In 2019, she took her first HITT circuit class and claimed she would never do that again! Then in 2020, quarantine happened and she tried a class again only to fall in love with the intensity of the workout. Kaitlyn is currently working on her Group Fitness Instructor certification through ACE fitness.
Kaitlyn has always been an active person; she started rock climbing at a young age, played soccer for years, and still finds time to take her dogs on a hike. Outside of yoga, barre, and HITT Kaitlyn has an Interior Design degree from Western Michigan and you can find her serving beers downtown at Bell’s Eccentric Cafe.
