This clinic is the perfect opportunity for athlete’s preparing for the upcoming triathlon season. The objective of our clinic is to improve an athletes swim speed and endurance by focusing on stroke technique and overall efficiency. Each week athletes will practice drills to build muscle memory through correct repetition. We will start with the fundamentals and progressively build into more advanced drills. Athletes will complete this class feeling more comfortable in the water at faster swim speeds. New this year, we’ll spend time focusing on pacing using tempo trainers.

Who: Intermediate to Advanced triathletes (Athletes will be grouped based on skill level.) You should have the swim fitness to swim 100 yards at 2 minutes or less to participate in this class. If you swim slower than this, see our Beginner Triathelte Swim Class.
- Athletes will train with some of the best swim coaches in Southwest Michigan, including Coach Tom Belco.
- Sessions will include some on deck instruction for additional swim related coaching, including assignment of workouts for independent training the remainder of the week. It is recommended that athletes swim 1-2 days per week outside of class time to achieve optimal performance improvements throughout the duration of the class.
- Athletes will have access to optional swim specific strength sessions at Athletic Mentors gym in Richland, Michigan
