Bobby Munro is a USA Cycling Level 3 Certified and SafeSport Certified coach with a lifelong passion for endurance sports and athlete development. His journey in athletics began in the pool, where he competed at the division 1 state championship. He continued his athletic pursuits at Michigan State University, racing triathlon at the national collegiate level while earning his degree in biosystems engineering.
After college, Bobby discovered his true passion in road racing. As a current Cat 2 cyclist and member of Team Athletic Mentor’s Elite Road Team since 2016, he brings first-hand experience from the peloton to inform his coaching. He regularly competes in regional and local road races. He loves how road racing combines both athleticism and an analytical approach to race tactics.
Bobby’s engineering background fuels his data-driven approach to coaching. He thrives on breaking down performance metrics, designing customized training plans, and helping athletes unlock their full potential through smart, intentional work. Whether coaching beginners or experienced competitors, Bobby is committed to building an athlete’s mental and physical toolbox and fostering long-term growth in a supportive, collaborative environment.
