We want our sponsors to be proud of our conduct all the time, but especially when wearing the team uniform. We are ambassadors for the businesses whose names appear on our team uniform.
When participating in events:
- Always, always, always wear your helmet when riding your bicycle.
- Race as a team (for road cyclists), even if that means sacrificing personal goals.
- Pick up after yourself.
- While racing, no profanity. Conduct yourself as you would want to be dealt with while interacting with other racers. Never express anything but respect to officials.
- No public urination.
- When on the podium, always wear clean team apparel to represent sponsors in any photos taken. A race jersey, wind vest or wind/corsa jacket is best for sponsor visibility.
- You are responsible for getting a picture of any podium placing you obtain. Send these photos to your captain for social media postings.
Junior Development Code of Conduct and Procedures:
- At all times I will conduct myself as if my very actions are being observed by all around me, both on the bike and off. This means on the road, at the races, and on public used paths.
- I will always try to see the other side of a teammate’s perspective and welcome that discussion.
- At all events designated “big” by team management, I will wear some article of Team Athletic Mentors clothing (casual or kit) at all times when in public.
- I will refrain from engaging in or responding to any disparaging remarks made toward myself or my teammates in social media settings and will report the situation to team management.
- I will wear only my MiSCA school jersey when MiSCA racing or at practice.
- When in the cycling community I will do my best to be a leader and model to all others that I can positively influence.
- At all times I will remember that I am privileged to be on Team Athletic Mentors and will never forget that my actions and behaviors reflect not only on myself but my teammates and team.

Dress Code & Team Uniform
- Team members are required to wear sponsor current, appropriate team clothing at all competitive, promotional, media and volunteer events.

- Wear your helmet any time you are on your bike. This means while riding
to and from event starts, registration, training, touring, racing and riding to the podium.
- All riders must wear the current year team uniform head to toe for competition.
- Any clothing you wear at a race or event that is not part of your team uniform
must be black, (i.e. leg warmers, knee warmers, shoe covers, etc.)
- Do not cut or alter the team uniform in any way.
- Place race numbers so as not to cover sponsor’s logos as much as possible, but also keep in
mind race official requests for number placement on your uniform.
- Be prepared at events. Pack for all weather conditions. Your race day
bag should have essentials and fresh clothes as needed for podium presentation.
- Check the Sponsor Events and Signup page for details regarding what to wear for Sponsor events.

Being part of a team means contributing to the success of your teammates as well as your own. Because this is important to our team, it is policy that you discuss your potential USAC upgrade with your team captain and management before applying. If it is determined that you are ready for a category upgrade, team management will serve as a reference to the USAC for your upgrade request.
