Katie is originally from Traverse City, Michigan, and continued her athletic career at Davenport University, where she played ice hockey. Her experiences as a student-athlete, along with the coaches and mentors who poured into her throughout her athletic career, helped shape her passion for coaching and supporting others through fitness and performance.
After college, Katie had the opportunity to live and work in Montana, Washington, and Oregon. During that time, she gained experience in strength and conditioning, sports performance, speed and agility, and also had the opportunity to work as a kayak guide in Glacier National Park. These experiences allowed her to work with a variety of athletes and individuals while strengthening her passion for helping people become stronger, more confident, and reach their goals.
Katie is passionate about creating a positive and supportive environment where people feel encouraged to challenge themselves, celebrate their progress, and continue growing both inside and outside of the gym.
Outside of coaching, Katie and her husband enjoy spending as much time outdoors as they can. They love backpacking, climbing mountains, foraging, and fishing.
Katie is excited to be part of the Athletic Mentors team and to give back through the same type of mentorship and encouragement that her coaches once poured into her. She looks forward to helping athletes and clients discover their potential, build confidence, and develop healthy habits that support long-term success.
