One of our hardest-working athletes, Kooper Etheridge, has officially signed to play baseball at Kellogg Community College! This is a well-deserved accomplishment for an athlete that’s always working on getting better and is committed to putting in the time and effort it takes to take his aspirations as far as they can go.

Is there a coach or athlete that you look up to as a role model and why?
“I would say I like to look up to Jack Leiter, a pitcher for the Texas Rangers, because he’s always putting in the work and represents how to play very well!”
Why are you so passionate about playing sports?
“I am passionate about sports because it gives me something to be myself and I love to compete, always to better and push myself to limits some might think they can’t go. ”
What strengths do you believe you have that make you a great athlete?
“One of my biggest strengths is definitely being left-handed, hard-working (I wanna outwork you), and my competitiveness (not afraid to back down haha) .”
Do you have any interests or hobbies outside of sports?
“Interests of my other than sports are working out, hanging out with family and friends, occasionally dabbling in win money games and fishing.”
What do you hope to accomplish in the next five to ten years?
“After KCC I’d like to transfer to a D1 school to further both my education and baseball career. After college, I hope to continue with baseball and take it to the next level if possible. In addition to baseball, I hope to make great friends and good connections along the way as well as become a better person and athlete.”
